Let’s Be Honest About Manifestation
I used to think I was doing it wrong. I’d script and visualise and repeat affirmations until I was blue in the face, but nothing ever seemed to stick. The things I wanted most always felt just out of reach, and the things that did arrive were usually the watered-down versions. Sound familiar?
At some point, I realised that the way I was manifesting was based on what I thought I should want, not what I truly desired. There’s a big difference between manifesting something to impress others and manifesting something because it lights you up from the inside. The truth is, when you’re clear on your real desires, the entire process becomes lighter, easier, and a whole lot more fun.
So if you’re feeling a bit stuck or disconnected from your manifestations, this post is for you. Let’s strip it back, make it simple, and get you back on track to calling in what your soul actually wants.
Get Clear on What You Actually Want
Tune Out the Noise
There’s a lot of pressure out there to want certain things: a six-figure business, a perfect relationship, luxury travel. But do you really want those things, or do you want the feeling you think they’ll give you? One of the most powerful steps in manifestation is getting brutally honest with yourself. Sit in stillness. Ask yourself, “If no one else was watching, what would I want for me?”
Follow Your Energy
Pay attention to what makes you feel excited, calm, grounded, or inspired. Your body will give you clues long before your mind does. If something feels heavy, exhausting, or like hard work just to think about, it probably isn’t your true desire. Manifesting from alignment means saying yes to what feels good, not just what looks good on paper.
Stop Settling
Manifestation works best when you’re bold enough to go after what you really want, not the safe or sensible version. If your dream feels a little too big or a little too wild, you’re probably on the right track. Be willing to own the full spectrum of your desires. The universe loves clarity and courage.
Make It Real in Your Everyday Life
Embody the Energy
Before anything shows up in your physical world, you need to become the version of you who already has it. What does she believe about herself? How does she move through the world? How does she treat her body, her time, her relationships? Start showing up as her in the little ways first. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just aligned.
Anchor It with Rituals
Ritual doesn’t need to be dramatic or complicated. Lighting a candle while you journal your desires, sipping your tea while repeating your affirmations, or cleansing your space with intention can all be part of your manifestation practice. These tiny rituals are cues to the universe—and to yourself—that you’re serious about receiving.
Watch Your Words
The way you talk about your desires matters. Saying things like “I hope it happens” or “It probably won’t work” sends mixed signals. Shift your language. Try “I am open to receiving” or “I trust it’s already on its way to me.” Speak as if your desires are not only possible, but inevitable.
Clear the Path for What You Want
Let Go of the Timeline
This was the hardest lesson for me. I wanted things on my schedule, and I felt cheated when they didn’t show up in time. But manifestation rarely works that way. The universe responds to readiness, not pressure. Letting go of the timeline doesn’t mean giving up. It means trusting that what you want is making its way to you, in perfect timing.
Drop the Resistance
If your desire brings up fear, doubt, or guilt, it’s worth exploring why. Sometimes we block our manifestations because a part of us feels unworthy or scared of what will change when we receive them. You don’t need to be perfect, but a little self-awareness can make a big difference. Let yourself be human, and give your inner resistance a bit of kindness and space to unravel.
Create Space for the New
Whether it’s a mindset shift, a new routine, or literally clearing out your wardrobe, make space for what you’re calling in. If you want love, are you making space in your life for someone else? If you want abundance, are you willing to spend or save differently? Show the universe that you’re ready to receive by creating space—physically, emotionally, and energetically.
Your Era in Action
There was a moment, not that long ago, when I realised I’d been manifesting the same thing for years: a sense of peace, of grounded ease. I kept looking for it in relationships, work, even places. But it only came when I stopped chasing the version I thought I was supposed to want, and started asking myself: what does my peace look like?
It turns out, it looks like quiet mornings with tea and my cat, a schedule that honours my energy, and saying no to things that deplete me. It looks like trusting myself again, backing my ideas, and letting life be soft when it can be. None of that arrived all at once. But once I got clear, everything shifted. My life didn’t get louder. It got more me.
So if you’re still unsure about what you actually want, it’s okay. Start where you are. Start small. Get curious. Let your desires reveal themselves gently. And when they do, claim them. Not the polished, filtered, aspirational versions. The real ones. The ones that feel like home in your body.
This is your manifestation era. You don’t need to do more, be more, or prove anything. You just need to get clear, show up with intention, and trust the rest will unfold. It will. It always does.
